Thomas Tuchel Questions Home Fan Atmosphere Despite Comfortable Wales Victory.

Thomas Tuchel expressed his sadness that the Three Lions team did not receive stronger encouragement from the home crowd during their commanding triumph over Wales on Thursday night.

The manager was satisfied to see his team maintain their strong performance, with strikes from Rogers, Watkins, and Bukayo Saka inside the initial stages effectively ending the game. However, he was displeased with the atmosphere at the iconic venue.

“We had one and a half training days to prepare against a well-trained team and we excelled,” Tuchel commented. “We could have been 5-0 up at the break. We missed the fourth and fifth ones. It was quiet. There was no any energy back from the crowd. Our team gave their all to win.”

“What more can you give in 20 minutes? We prevented them get away. If you hear just the Welsh supporters for half an hour, it’s sad because the squad earned greater backing today.”

“I support my words. We cannot do more than being three goals up in a rivalry match. I hoped for a bit more backing in moments where it is challenging.”

“In the second half, to cheer us on, there was excessive support for Wales. It might have aided us to regain energy, but that’s the way it went and that is it.”

Squad Decisions Vindicated by Performance

Away from potentially starting a dispute among fans, Tuchel also raised eyebrows by leaving out Jude Bellingham and Foden from his team selection. However the move was justified by Morgan Rogers excelling in the attacking midfield role and netting his first international goal.

“That’s his style,” the head coach noted. “He operates as an attacking midfielder and he is fighting for his position.”

Wales Manager Hopes for Lessons from Defeat

Craig Bellamy expressed hope that his team, who host Belgium in a key World Cup qualifier on Monday, improve after their poor first-half display.

“That’s the reason I scheduled this friendly,” the manager said. “I need to see our current level. Where do we want to go? Who do we want to be? Today gives me motivation.”

Fitness Worry for Watkins

Watkins was taken off at half-time after hitting a post and is a concern when England play Latvia in Riga in a qualifier on Tuesday.
